When did you start making missions?
Feb 2011
What was your first mission?
Chiclet's Sweet Shop
Can you tell me a little about it?
A friend suggested since I loved playing missions so much, I should really try making my own. I thought ugh that would be a nightmare and too hard for me to do. Another good friend offered to help get me going and taught me much of the basics I needed. It took weeks to make a mission that would now take me a few hours, but my love of mission making began with one very simple and basic mission about helping in a sweet shop while the owner is away. The mission is still open and receives weekly plays.
Did anything inspire you to make missions?
No real inspiration. Just a wanted to know how and a few friends saying I should make a mission.
What inspires you to keep making missions?
It's just fun!
What are some of your favorite missions you played?
I have so many favorites. I often forget some and then end up at them, thinking oh I forgot how much I loved this one. I am a huge fan of Sunday Monkey’s missions; she hasn't made one, I haven't loved yet. Dezertdog's Misfit Bear and Three Little Piggies have always been favorites along with Bracket Man's Barrel Full of Monkeys, I love all the fantasy missions that Kissy My has made. Her Ice Castle without question has always been a favorite. Mangoloo Lala’s missions with her light shows always amaze me. I can't help but smile and think wow. Poetic Waxing by Duchess Bean always has me cracking up. Lexi Loo the 13th, who is newer to mission making has made some I adore as well. A1 Spy Agency by Aone Getdismoney was one of my very first favorites when I started playing missions. Rgr Gll's Robot in Training mission is so clever. I can go on and on here. There are so many missions and mission makers I would have to name if I truly was to list all my favorites.
What’s your favorite mission you’ve made?
I think my favorite would have to be A Father's Life. I made it right before Father's Day in memory of the best man I ever have known... My Dad!
Have you ever thought about quitting mission making?
YES! Only because when I am making a mission, I have to take time away from playing them. Playing missions is my addiction and my first love. If I spend a long time making a mission I think, ok no more making missions after this. I say I am done and I'm just going to play missions, then an idea comes to my mind and I start making another mission!
Describe your mission making style.
I am not sure I have a real style. I do try to make upbeat missions and I have always been an out of the box thinker and I think much of that shows in my missions.
Where do you get your ideas for your missions?
Oh all over. Ideas just pop in my head from playing other missions or just doing something in real life. I couldn't tell you where most started, they just popped in head and I ran with them.
You have made and worked with helping make missions with a partner. Can you tell me a little bit about the experience?
I love it! Dezertdog and I work very well together when it comes to mission making. It's great to be able to bounce ideas off each other. There are things I love and things I dislike about making a mission; it seems the things I dislike most are the things he loves to do most and vice versa, so we fit great. We have a lot of fun and I think our missions turn out better when we make them together, then they would if we made them on our own. I have tried working with others and it's not the same.. With Dezertdog it's not a lot of questions. We think a lot alike with ideas. One of us has a story and shares it and then we both just go to work. Not a bunch of hey should I do this or that or can you do this for me or that. We just seem to know what we have to do to get our mission or the others missions done.
